Ambientes y depósitos sedimentarios

Los registros sedimentarios constituyen archivos valiosos que permiten identificar cambios ambientales a lo largo de un dominio temporal continuo, desde sub-anual hasta miles de años. Mediante análisis de las características físicas, químicas y biológicas de depósitos terrestres y marinos, reconstruiremos cambios ambientales asociados a clima y a procesos geológicos endógenos (sismos, volcanismo explosivo, etc.) en Patagonia.

Beckman Multisizer 4e: este equipo mide concentraciones y tamaño de partículas de polvo en muestras líquidas.

Actualmente se encuentra en el laboratorio limpio del Instituto de Geografía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
